Rise and shine! “Dawning” succeeds its preceding “Metamorph” series to bring new artists from JCCAC to showcase exhibitions that breathe new life and vigour to arts, connect with the public and discover new possibilities. Every month between June and November 2021, we invite an artist (or a duo) to take over the floor and share what uniquely expresses their creative trajectories. From ink painting, illustration and printmaking to video, installation and book design, each artist excels at a different medium. Their works capture not only their wildest imaginations, but also humane reflections of our city. What comes after the darkest night is the dawning of a new era, with up-and-coming artists ready to shine.
Presented by JCCAC, this series introduces new artists of different genres and ideas, to bring fresh interactions and new dialogues between artists, art space, and visitors.
