Indigood House – Introduction of Local Indigo Dyeing Project and Batik

Indigood House will introduce their first-ever local indigo dyeing project, sharing on local planting and making of indigo dye. They will also demonstrate batik (wax-resist dyeing) techniques, as well as the use of different brushes and tools.

 

 

The Art of Mahjong Craft – Hand-carved Mahjong Tiles Demonstration

Registered as intangible cultural heritage in Hong Kong, the traditional mahjong craftsmanship is becoming a lost art. In this demonstration, artists will show you how to carve mahjong tiles by hand, using different traditional tools, and injecting art into them. Also, stories of the old mahjong factory are told through illustrations, bringing a new life to this sunset industry.
