JCCAC is a multi-disciplinary arts centre-cum-artist village, and an award winning architectural conversion from the former Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate. The first of its kind in terms of scale and nature in Hong Kong, the Centre is a hub of artistic synergy and exciting arts and cultural events. Operating as a self-financed, registered charity, the Centre has become one of Hong Kong’s most dynamic and unique cultural landmarks since it opened in September 2008.

In Hong Kong where property price is at a premium, a common problem faced by artists is to find affordable workspace to practice and showcase their works. Purposely fitted out with artist studios, galleries, a black-box theatre and other communal facilities, we are proud to have over 150 artists and art groups working under our roof.
The JCCAC resident artists and art groups engage in a wide range of art disciplines covering both visual and performing arts in media old and new. They range from painting and sculpture, tradition, folk and contemporary arts and crafts including glass and pottery, to installations, photography, digital and performance arts, dance, drama, music and even musical instrument making. JCCAC is undoubtedly the first studio centre in Hong Kong where you can have close encounters with renowned masters as well as experienced and budding artists.
This website provides the information that you may wish to know about JCCAC. You are also cordially invited to come to the Centre in sharing the artistic ambience that we are fostering all year around for the community at large. See you in JCCAC.
